Fibromyalgia is a medical syndrome which causes chronic widespread pain, accompanied by fatigue, waking unrefreshed, and cognitive symptoms.  

Symptoms of Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a long-term condition that causes pain all over the body and other symptoms, such as fatigue, difficulty sleeping and brain fog. 

Causes of Fibromyalgia

The cause for chronic fatigue syndrome is not known.

Some theories include viral infection, psychological stress, or a combination of factors.

Treating Fibromyalgia Syndrome

While there is currently no cure for Fibromyalgia, there are treatments that may help you manage the condition.

  • Cognitive behavioural therapy – CBT can be helpful. It’s a talking therapy that focuses on changing negative thought patterns and behaviours.
  • Relaxation techniques.
